A NEW DAY AND A NEW REGIMEN – AUGUST 29

Last night, I began a new regimen of chemotherpy with the drug, Temodar.  I must say, it was a rough night, but I did not go without sleep.  For any of you who are interested, you can visit the drug’s web site at www.Temodar.com to learn all about it and it’s recommended use.  I spent all last evening reading everything on the site.  It is a customary chemo drug for adults to take following surgery for a brain tumor like I had.  It was first of all used in conjunction with the radiation, but now it is being used alone – no longer having the radiation treatments – but the dosage is double what I took this early summer for shorter time frames each month.

I have been posting my blog reports incorrectly, and, therefore, most of you have not been receiving the automatic updates I have just learned.  Also, the last 3 or 4 posts have been erased, so you probably won’t know what I wrote in between the last of what you received and this one.  If I find a way to recreate them, I will, and will be sure you have one published and emailed to you.  Sorry about that.  This is all new for me, you know, and the short term memory loss is really a challenge.  But I do have so very many other things to be so very grateful for.  I’ll chose to dwell on those.

A nurse friend of mine, Betty Harvey, loaned me a great book by a physician called “Healing Prayer”.  He is talking about the importance the medical communicty are now understanding about the power of patient prayer and patient spiritual support and prayer from groups and churches.  So, please keep praying for my recovery and healing and for Lucky’s strength to continue as he is everything to everyone right now.  We despertely need your prayers!  And we believe God hears and answers and is very good.

I’ll do a better job at keeping everyone informed more often.  So glad you care.  Bless each one of you!

With love and appreciation,
