Last night we completed the 2 concerts with Michael W. Smith, the Katinas and Melinda Doolittle that we had been working on since the summer. The Lord saw me through all the rehearsals and 2 performances yesterday – the dress rehearsal during the afternoon was changed to a matinee performance, so more people could have seats and be able to come. So, we actually performed 2 long, complete live performances. We were exhausted but in a good way. We are thanking God for seeing us through. J.J. and Kait and the 2 kids from the Raleigh-Durham area drove over for it and were there last night. Katie came and brought her mother-in-law, Pat, who flew in from the Baltimore area. Everyone said it was good and that they enjoyed it very much. Thank You, Lord!
So, we slept in this morning, watched our church on the computer’s live streaming and then went to the Waffle House for breakfast. This afternoon is a time of rest for us both.
Just wanted all our prayer partenrs/warriors to know how grateful we are for your love and support. I do believe my healing has just now started with this weekend’s performance.
We have another doctor appointment on THursday to see where the platelets are. Please begin to pray for that now. Last appointment they were still too low to begin chemotherapy again, so we are just watching and waiting right now.
Had a great experience last week when Katie took me to the Minnie Pearl Foundation offices in Nashville where I met with a wonderful social worker, Katheinre. She was so helpful, encouraging and just nice and easy. She sent me and Katie both off with lots of good information and pamphlets/brochures about what is offered out there concerning spedifically brain tumor cancer, which has been hard to find at other places. I would definitely try to go back asking for an appointment again. Only need will be transportation to Nashville and back. Slowly things are coming to Franklin, but until then -
Any lady who reads this and would like to come by late in a morning to visit, I wouild love for you to let me know. Many of you have told me you are free during the day, or at least can arrange your schedule, and I am in need right now of someone to come by and bring or go out to lunch, come back here and visit with me for an hour or 2 during a low time of day for me. Just let me know. Some of you might hear from Amy Mizell this week about that, but for others, I do not have your email address, so do comment back to let me know if you would be interested.
