A REPORT FROM HOME 5-17-08

Well, I’m now home again from 2 more hospitals – Williamson Medical here in Franklin and Skyline Medical Center in North Nashville.  I spent a week at Williamson after another fall and then they transferred me to Skyline for a week or two of rehabilitation in-house there.  It was great with 3 hours of rehab each day.  Their whole 3rd floor is dedicated to  nothing but rehabilitation.  All in-house patients must do 3 hours of rehab each day, which really pushed me into doing way better that I was when I got there.  Came home last Wednesday and am progressing nicely here.  I have had one round of the new chemo regimen while I was at Williamson but that is it so far.  Dr. Murphy wants togo slowly with me because of some side effects I am experiencing, which is fine with me, so my next round won’t be until May 20 or so.  In the mean time, my assignment is to get stronger, stay rested and keep well.  I can do thesethings!  My friends and children keep sending me cards, clothes and food and making phone calls and taking care of arrangements and appointments for me.  What blessings they have been to me!!

Katie was able to find a great home for Charlie (our darling little beagle-basset) but we are still hoping for the same great situationfor Franklin (thelarger of the 2 – our sweet, kind, lab/shepard mix- who is just like Marley in “Marley and Me”.  We are confident God hasa plan for Franklin, as well, so we will wait.

We are also confident that God has aplan for me, so we are waiting with confidence on His plan for me, as well.  Please don’t stop praying for His plan for us and for our patience.   We count on it.  And we do love hearing from you on the comments.  I check them daily to see who we might have heard from.

Thanks so much for standing with us in our inner circle of prayer warriors.  Love,  LuckyandCarol
