Dear friends and prayer warriors,
The latest on Carol is that she is losing mobility on her left side and her disease progresses. She continues to be lucid and loves having visitors although she often cannot remember anything in the near past. (short-term memory) I visit her almost every day when I can find gas. She says the chair in her room looks funny without me sitting in it.
I have come through the prostate surgery with flying colors and after a week’s convalescence at David’s (son) house in Columbus,OH, I feel great physically. I am having some problem with my right shoulder and just this morning had a series of x-rays done. My Dr. at the bone and joint clinic suspects torn rotator cuff, which means yet another surgery. I am of the opinion that I best get these issues dealt with while I still have good insurance.
Please continue to pray for Carol and me. We want to give God all the glory for the many blessings that he showers upon us every day.
Together, in Christ,
Lucky & Carol

Hey Lucky – I hadn’t rcvd an update so re-enrolled and got this only to learn YOU had surgery, too! So glad you’re on the mend from that and hope your shoulder gets tended to soon! My heart is aching for Carol as I write this and I remember fondly the visit in Nashville with my dad and the time the 4 of us spent together several years back. I send heart-felt prayers for both of you and hope the days to come bring peace and ease as you travel down this path together. Love and hugs from your travel agent friend!! Anita in San Diego

FOR THERE IS NOT A WORD ON MY TONGUE, BUT BEHOLD, O LORD YOU KNOW IT ALL TOGETHER. We pray for comfort and encouragement & That God will console you both and calm your hearts during this difficult time. Our prayers go with you- you are not alone! “Patti” & Frank

Dear Carol and Lucky, John Beville is so good to keep everyone informed about our SSHS classmates. I am very sorry to hear that the tumor is back and the prognosis is not what you had hoped and prayed for. But, there are always blessings in every situation. I am praying for all of you and wishing you love and peace.
Love to you all, Susan

Dear Carol and Lucky, Although I have never met you Lucky I feel your pain as a husband. I can identify with your shoulder situation. A few years back, I had a total shoulder joint replacement. Take care of your’s as soon as you have time. I am truely sorry about Carols prognosis. But I will be praying that Our Lord grants you the peace that passes all understanding. That your faith would be increased ten fold and that our Lord place his hedge of protection around your family. My prayer is that in the midst of your battle that the Lord will reveil his grace and mercy and put his hand of blessing on you Carol. In Christ, Kirk

Dear Carol and Lucky,
Lucky, I am sorry that I never got to meet you. If you are married to Carol you must be a wonderful person.
Carol and I were best friends in high school and had many good times together.
It just broke my heart to read John’s news about Carol the other day. I pray for peace for you both.
Tell Carol that “Jan” sends her love.
